Prairie Players Civic Theatre is excited to announce A Night of One Acts, an evening of short plays to be presented on Saturday, September 19.

This special production is designed to be an accessible entry point for those curious about theatre, while also providing a welcoming path back for veteran participants. With a shorter rehearsal process and simplified production elements, this format allows for creativity without a large time commitment.

The Missoula Children's Theatre is coming to Prairie Players Civic Theatre for a week-long theatre day camp for students entering first through twelfth grade. The camp runs from Monday, June 8, through Saturday, June 13, at Prairie Players Civic Theatre 160 S. Seminary Street, Galesburg.

Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) is the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre. Our tour team arrives in Galesburg in their “little red truck” loaded with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up—everything it takes to put on a play…except the cast!

Camp kicks off Monday, June 8, with auditions for Aladdin from 10 AM to 12 PM. Once students are cast, rehearsal times will be announced for the remainder of the week, with all rehearsals taking place between 10:00 AM and 2:15 PM. Because this magical show comes together in just one week, attendance at all rehearsals is required—no exceptions (this is an MCT policy).

​The week wraps up with three public performances of Aladdin on Friday, June 12, at 5:30 PM, and Saturday, June 13, at 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

📣 Hear Ye, Hear Ye! The Prince is giving a ball! 📣

Auditions for Cinderella begin TONIGHT! Directed by Kenny Knox, with musical direction by Missy Roberts, don’t miss your chance to audition for this magical production. Performances will be July 17-19 & 24-26.

Auditions will take place tonight (5/15) at 6:00PM, and tomorrow (5/16) at 1:00 PM at Prairie Players Civic Theater, 160 S. Seminary Street Galesburg, IL. Callbacks will be Sunday (5/17) at 2:00PM.

We invite actors entering 5th grade to adult to audition. No previous experience necessary! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand new to the stage, we’d love to see you.

Please prepare a song of your choice (a piano accompanist will be available). You will also read a short selection from the script and learn a short dance combination.

Auditions start tomorrow at 6! 🎶

The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmark of originality, charm, and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium.

Prairie Players Civic Theatre is delighted to bring this magical story to the stage, directed by Kenny Knox with music direction by Missy Roberts. Performances will be held July 17–19 and July 24–26.

While the cast will consist primarily of adults, the production will include some children. Auditions will be held at Prairie Players Civic Theatre, 160 South Seminary, on Friday, May 15, at 6:00 PM and Saturday, May 16, at 1:00 PM. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, May 17, at 2:00 PM. Roles are available for students in 5th grade through adults. Please prepare a song of your choice for auditions. You will be asked to read a selection from the script and learn and perform a short dance sequence. A pianist will be on hand to accompany those auditioning.

While audition forms will be available on May 15 & 16, we recommend completing the online form ahead of time.
