The movie is a powerful production about three pianists of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, a Syrian, a Korean, and a Pole, preparing concerts of Chopin music in places associated with great suffering: the city center of Beirut, the border between South and North Korea, and the Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Poland. The picture takes the viewer on a cinematic journey through these unique and sinister sceneries, while weaving together the stories of these outstanding musicians.

The screening will be followed by discussion.

Chopin: I Am Not Afraid of Darkness received a 59th Golden Prague International Television Festival award in September 2022.
