We’re baaack 🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾 is getting the gang back together for one night of music, poetry, and performance at the Big: Culture & Arts Festival !

Come out and showcase your talents on the Dopemic stage during the festival at one (or both 😜) of TWO open mics during the festival:

💜 FIRST SHOW: 5PM-7PM
💜 SECOND SHOW: 9PM-12AM

Add your own art & creativity to Big in our Open Mic Lounge 🌟

We’re very excited to bring the founders of back to Gainesville! They’ll be hosting [TWO] open mic shows during the festival 🎤 Visit the open mic lounge at Big to perform and support other artists ❤️

Come dance and mingle during intermissions at 6PM with SABU mixing Afrobeats, Dancehall, and something to shake ya ass to and at 10PM with DJ Ambruh spinning hip hop, R&B, and pop hits

PRE-BIG SIGN UPS ARE LIMITED! Hit up or to get a slot 📋 First come, first serve☝️

⭐️ We are saving a few in-person slots for people to sign up at the festival. Sign up will be inside the lounge 30 mins before each show (4:30-5:00 & 8:30-9:00). DM us to sign up ahead of time and guarantee a spot!

Performers will receive a free drink, so make sure to secure your spot!

In-between shows, enjoy drinks at the speakeasy pop-up experience🍸and games sponsored by before the show 🎲

🌞Hey Folks!! Hoping this Tuesday is going well for the family! In case you didn’t know we have one last DOPE show planned for you all before you head out for the summer and we wanted to make it a special one! 💜We will have our regular show 💜DOPENMIC💜, the DOPEST Openmic in Gainesville, 8:30-10:45, so get there early if you want to perform as we open the sign ups in person, and you know we don’t play favorites. After which our very special featured artist, will be helping us wind down the school year with some scratches and hot tracks 🔥 til midnight, for one of our Backyard Kickbacks.
We will be taking a break in our regular shows for the summer but trust we will be putting into ourselves and coming back in August for more DOPE events. 👀 annnd lets just say just because we wont be doing our normal, doesnt mean yall wont be seeing us. 🫡💕.

Anyways,,, we hope to see you for one last hurrah for Spring, TOMORROW, 8:30-12

We can’t think of a better way to spend the day than having a good old , so let’s shine a well deserved spotlight on our Bard and Broadside Poetry Festival event!

On April 13th, we had the honor of being invited to the Harn Museum of Art for a collaborative open mic event in the Bard & Broadside poetry festival! It was a beautiful experience working alongside the The Living Poets Society at UF and the Civic Media Center’s Poetry Jam — oldest open mic in Florida 🔥!

If you missed us, don’t worry! Join Dopenmic on the second Wednesday of every month.

DOPENMIC is honored to partner up with the Bard & Broadside Poetry Festival to cohost the opening event of the North Central Florida Poetry Festival in Gainesville from April 13th - 16th🥳🎈💌

DOPENMIC with our community friends, Civic Media Center Poetry Jam and UF Living Poet Society, are hosting an Open Mic at the Harn Museum of Art April 13th from 6-9PM

That’s right! We’re talking about “Unity in the Community”, so come one, come ALL! 🫱🏾‍🫲🏿

In the spirit of DOPENMIC, all art are accepted and ALL age groups! With that said, the art that is shared in the space may not be suitable for all ages/audience⚠️
