After many years of painting Joyce Horner decided to go in a different direction. She took a silver clay jewelry class at John C Campbell Folk Art School and she fell in love with the process of making jewelry out of clay. The pieces generated by this process are 99.9% silver, surpassing even sterling in terms of purity. She immediately bought equipment to start designing and creating jewelry in her studio., making some of her first pieces from molds of the leaves of a ginkgo tree in her front yard. She has since taken many classes from John C Campbell and Spruill Center for the Arts to further hone her craft. She has added enameling, patina application and other techniques to further expand her repertoire. She has been chosen as a featured artist for Marketplace (a gift market) for NE Ga Medical Center the first weekend of November at the Ramsey center. Stop in to see this beautiful jewelry at Gallery On The Square in beautiful downtown Gainesville.

Oil on 18” x 24” linen. Beautiful painting by Ann Alexander. She was driving along Riverside Drive when she came upon these cuties foraging in the woods! Of course she had to snap a picture as they were crossing in front of her, which turned into a beautiful painting! And we are happy she did! Available at Gallery On The Square in Gainesville, Georgia.

“The heart of a tree shows the story of its journey…” Wally and Victoria Roth observe each piece of wood and find the inspiration for its design. This piece holds and honors the hundreds of years it took to reveal its beauty and strength. The coral calls one to experience the heart of the wood with the mystery of the sea. Stop in to see this beautiful coral and driftwood at Gallery on the Square in Gainesville, Georgia.
