ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Join professional artist Steven Edgar Bradbury for a hands-on drawing workshop exploring the expressive power of graphite. In the first hour you will learn how to manipulate various forms of graphite from pencils and graphite sticks to graphite putty and watercolor graphite to build dramatic texture and light and to convey atmospheric depth. In the remaining two hours you will each receive a set of these tools to create your own landscape drawings from reference photos under the personal guidance of the instructor.

All skill levels invited. All art materials provided. You need bring nothing but your curiosity and a desire to make something beautiful.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Steven Edgar Bradbury is a Florida-based pleinair artist who studied studio art at Cooper Union and Chinese painting and calligraphy in Taiwan, but honed his “pine noir” style along the banks of the Ichetucknee River. Though he occasionally works in pastel and other colored media, he gravitates to graphite because he loves its shimmery blacks and thousand shades of silver and gray.
