What a powerful afternoon at the Hippodrome Theatre!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the performance on the Hippodrome steps!
Seeing artist Conrad Cheung’s vision—A River Full Of All My Lost Loved Ones—come to life across our six columns was truly unforgettable. Over 600 drawings and messages about safety, hope, and memory created by our incredible Summer Spectacular campers are now proudly on display for the entire community.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to:
Conrad Cheung for bringing this thought-provoking installation to our space.
Our Summer Spectacular Campers for sharing their stories, creativity, and hearts.
All of our extraordinary performers and composer Colin Self for an inspiring live opening performance.
Our Gainesville community for coming out to support public art and youth expression!
The installation will remain up on the columns through September 28. Be sure to visit at different times of the day to watch the heat-sensitive thermochromic artwork shift and reveal hidden details in the sun and cool air!
