Attention music lovers & creatives,

This Saturday, we’re taking over a warehouse district in East Gainesville to host a hip hop networking event. In each warehouse something different will be happening — from cyphers to beat cook up sessions. Come meet other talented artists, producers, and creatives.

Collaboration, productivity, positivity, cooperation, and inclusivity is the vibe.

How We Started// Where We’re Going

Connect the Dots began as a music series to support the Civic Media Center’s constant fundraising effort. A main focus became to highlight bands with members that identify as LGBTQ+, women, people of color, immigrants, people with disabilities, and other marginalized community members. This effort includes throwing benefit shows for local organizations such as Incarcerated Workers’ Organizing Committee, Madres Sin Fronteras, and Food Not Bombs. In less than a year, Connect the Dots has expanded to include a collection of zines as well as an upcoming WGOT 100.1 radio show. Our objective for the future is to promote a safer, more inclusive music and arts scene in Gainesville, FL. We are willing to collaborate in projects that seek to further this objective.
