Free at last, free at last! Good God Almighty, I'm free at last! It is with great excitement and some regret that I am announcing the sale of Everyman Sound Company, Inc. to John Papoulis, owner of Vivid Sky Productions LLC effective January 11, 2020. It has been a fantastic 36 years but it is time for the young and restless to take over. John and his crew will take this company places it has never been, doing things I never thought of doing and I wish them all great success. To all my customers from the last 36 years, I thank you all for the loyalty you have shown me and I hope you will treat the new owners and staff with the same courtesy you have shown me. The phone number and all addresses will stay the same, but I personally will no longer post on this page. I will miss you all.

Last night (New Years Eve) we provided for the White Oak Conservation Center annual year end party featuring the Brothers Osborne. This was our fourth, and this time we hung 3 JBL VRX932-LA1 from each end of the lighting truss. It was just what the room needed, and with a EAW SB850 sub on each side it sounded great! We supplied 2 Digico SD9 consoles, 8 Shure IEM's and all the mics, including 2 audience mics for the IEM's mounted in the truss. We have a history with the Brothers Osborne starting with A WOGK-FM acoustic concert in 2014 and was great to see them again.

Last Thursday we provided sound and lighting for Dance Alive's production of The Nutcracker at the new ampitheater at Alachua's Legacy Park. I could not take any better pictures but we had two trusses running up and down stage and 4 booms stage side. Out front were 2 Genie Supertowers each with a 10' stick of truss with PAR1000 VNSP's, Source Fours and 2-EAW KF650's. We set it up in the morning, I drove back to Gainesville for the SF College Nurses pinning and returned just in time for the dance to end early because of rain on the dance floor. The lighting looked fabulous thanks to Gerard Hale, but it was a tough place to work in.

We are supplying sound and lights for the "Spirit of the Horse" Christmas show at Cantebury Equestrian Center this weekend. We made 3 hangs of 2 VRX each with a pair of EV's behind the center hang for monitors. The main stage front light truss was 50' to span the ceiling beams. In addition to the VRX we supplied 3 double 18" subs, 4 followspots with scaffolding towers, and intercom and power distribution for all. It was a lot of work, but it sounds awesome!

Bria Skonberg soundchecking for her show tonight at the Center for Performing Arts. We supplied the upright bass, bass head and speaker and a Nord keyboard as well as the main and monitor speakers speakers (all EAW), supplemented with some JBL subs. The speakers seem to be floating don't they? But the second picture tells the story. Thanks to backline tech Drew for the photos.

We provided sound, lighting and video for the QUINN XCII show at the UF Bandshell last Friday. Full 24 box Vertec and both Digico SD9's for consoles. Aaron came out of UF retirement to run monitors and Ericson Frank Productions, LLC ran front of house. I was at the NCBS Blues Festival downtown with an audience of about 25. Gainesville blues enthusiasts are apparently fair weather fans and did not brave the chilly air to come see an awesome performance by Liz Mandeville & the Blue Points, 441 South and Stone Cold Blues. Thanks to Ericson for the bandshell photos.

JC of the band Whiskey Jones plays the Star Spangled Banner Jimi Hendrix style at this years Woofstock. This was my 4th and it was at Santa Fe River Ranch this year. We also provided uplighting in the main dining room, a room I have lit many times before for weddings. Although the sound setup was simple, I provided 4 monitor mixes and stage lighting and stuffed ALL of it in my Ford Transit Connect!

Elvis came back from the grave to perform at The Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival, and the Lost Safari Drummers have been found! I had great fun with a diverse mix of music and saw old friends Shade Tree perform for the umpteenth time. The weather Sunday was spectacular. Thanks to Micanopy for hiring us back.

I will be running sound at this years Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival after a 3-year hiatus while some other company did it. Come out and hear what you have been missing! We are pleased that the organizers have come back to us; after all, we had done their show for 20 years. Change is good, but repeat business is even better!
