We raised over $1200 for the Girl Scouts last night with a performance of "The Lion" at Whaley Methodist Church. I think General Sam would be pleased to see so many young girls benefit from "his" efforts!

This Saturday at 7p.m. in the Family Life Center at Whaley United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Girl Scout Troop 8588 will present "The Lion of Texas-An Evening with Sam Houston".

Created in the style of Hal Holbrook’s award winning performance in “Mark Twain Tonight”, this one man show gives the audience an intimate look at the icon who became the hero of San Jacinto and went on to become the first President of the Republic of Texas. Humorous, dramatic and impactful, the show sure to give you a great night of entertainment all while helping the Girl Scouts fund their various programs. Tickets are available at the door and are only $10.

Come out and support the local girl scout troop and have a wonderfully entertaining evening. If you are a Texan you will love it...if you are not, we will all feel sorry for you!

The show at Lewisville at the MCL Grand Theater was a big success! The gracious and inspired audience included a large group of retired Lewisville teachers and some special guests from the Lewisville Senior Center. What a great time in Granbury at the Granbury Opera House this past weekend! The people there were so gracious and the show was very warmly received. Thank you to those who came out and saw the show and we will look forward to coming back to Granbury in the near future!

He never minded standing alone if the cause was just. His personal bravery and courage was limitless. He loved his Texas will all of his being and put Her best interest before his own.

Another great location has just been added to the "Lion of Texas" schedule!
We will be performing at the wonderful Liberty Theater in Tyler on November 25. For all of our friends in the Tyler and surrounding area, tickets will soon go on sale through the Liberty Theater Box office. Gonna be a lot of fun and a great time so don't miss this presentation!
