I draw a little every day, but I haven’t really been pleased with anything for months. I’ve been cleaning out my office/studio and glanced through some old sketchbooks. I like the things in this one. Might help me recall my “style.” These might become some note cards. Stay tuned.

Two more sets of notecards (10 in each set) have been finished and paired with envelopes. The cards are blank inside and are 4.25" by 5.5". I have five sets that are ready to be released into the world! This picture is a sample of what's included in each set; however, no two cards are ever exactly the same, so no two sets are the same. I got back into my studio/office yesterday and this morning. I finished up five sets of ten homemade note cards that had been waiting patiently on me for several weeks. They are now ready and packaged with their envelopes. Two of the sets have already been promised, but these would make great back-to-school gifts for teachers or anyone else you know that actually writes and uses the U.S. Postal Service! There are three more sets in the beginning stages; they will probably be ready late next week.

I am participating in a "mail art" swap on a Yahoo group. There are twenty-seven participants; each one of us creates a work of art to mail to each of the other participants. Some people have decorated envelopes, some people have made their own envelopes and then decorated them, and others--like me--have made postcards to mail. These are two samples of my design. I chose postcards because the mailing deadline is August 31, and I go back to work on August 12. Don't want to be up against a deadline at the last minute.
