The Theatre of Gadsden is a nonprofit community theatre located in Alabama City, Alabama. Its home is located at the historic Ritz Theatre on Wall Street. We come from a strong and proud history of community theatre in Etowah County and can trace the roots of our organization to the Elliott Farm where plays were regularly produced in the late 1800s.

💈How's business? Got a marketing plan? Mrs. Lovett turned around her Pie Shop business with one Bright Idea! She's full of them you know. She turned a problem into a solution, and she can do it for you too! Head upstairs for a shave first and then she be waiting downstairs to see you.🥧

💈LeAnn Hall (Ensemble) has been actively involved in theatre for over 10 years and has appeared in over 45 productions, some of her favorites include Schoolhouse Rock Live! (Dori), Bye Bye Birdie (Ursula Merkle), The Little Mermaid (Ariel), and SpongeBob the Musical (Sandy Cheeks). LeAnn is an alumna of Alabama Repertory Theatre’s elite competition team (formerly known as CCT Elite) LeAnn is so grateful to be alongside such a talented group of performers and hopes you enjoy the show!

🔪It's time for some more daily specials from Mrs. Lovett's Pie Shop, where each pie is specially made to 'fit" the individual. Are you a British Loyal, a tailor, potter, butler, locksmith or maybe a financier? We have something for you! With clergy on Sundays and generals served with an optional side. 💈

💈Azya Elrod (Ensemble) is full of joy to be back with TOG for their production of Sweeney Todd! Favorite credits include Beauty & The Beast (Belle), Guys & Dolls (Miss Adelaide), RENT (Mimi), The Glass Menagerie (Laura), and Diary of Anne Frank (Edith) to name a few. Off stage, she is a color specialist at ADM Hair Studio. She is a two-time college graduate from Gadsden State with degrees in both Theatre and Cosmetology. So beyond grateful for my theatre peeps and much love to her family, fur babies and partner :-)

🙀There's a scarcity of cats over by Mrs. Mooney's thriving pie shop 🤔but Mrs. Lovett wouldn't think of it in her shop...it's enough to make you sick. Our cast is "purfectly" curated and seasoned with the finest cuts of talent to fill your dark theatrical appetite.💈

💈Brie Dinkins (Ensemble) is thrilled to make her debut with Theatre of Gadsden. Past Shows include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Mrs .Peacock in Clue: The Musical, and many more. Currently she is studying Elementary Education at JSU and is a part of the JSU Acappella Choir. She is so excited for you all to see the show and hopes you enjoy!

🔪Mrs. Lovett's meat pies are always fresh, never frozen and only the finest cuts make it into our pies and onto our stage. When your serving up the worst pies in London, you simply can't afford to cut corners and neither have we with our Sweeney Todd cast💈

💈Ashton Dillard (Ensemble) is thrilled to be part of this production and grateful to Theatre of Gadsden for the opportunity to help bring this story to the stage. She has been involved in theatre since 2012 with CharACTers Theatrics and was also a member of CCT Elite, the company’s competitive performance team. Outside of the theatre, Ashton is a high school English teacher, where she enjoys sharing her love of literature and storytelling with her students. She hopes you enjoy the show!

🔪As we walk these dark streets, we meet the upper and lower class of London. There's people who are tall and ghoulish, some who are dirty and in rags, and some who are prim and proper. But they all share one thing in common, Mr. Todd and Mrs. Lovett will be serving up both those above and down below. 💈

💈Lauryn Cannon (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back onstage in this show. She has been in shows such as Little Women (Clarissa), Little Shop (Audrey), and Legally Blonde, Jr. (Pilar). She would like to thank her husband, Cole, who is her biggest fan, and her family and friends for their love and support. Thank you for supporting the local arts!

🔪Opening night is just one month away! Sweeney is coming home to find his friend and soon his right arm will be complete! Our cast is warming up to fill Fleet Steet with pulse and plenty of wonderfully twisted moments to make this tale unforgettable. 💈

💈Cole Cannon (Ensemble) is a local actor. He is the son of Becki and Joe Cannon, and the husband of Lauryn Cannon. His most recent roles with TOG were Professor Bhaer in Little Women and Teddy Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace. A self-described "Sweeney Todd superfan", he is excited to not only be in one of his dream musicals, but to once again be sharing the stage with his wife, Lauryn.

🩸Daelynn Caldwell (Ensemble) is making her debut with Theatre of Gadsden with Sweeney Todd! Having gotten back into theatre with Gadsden State, it only felt right to join up in one of her favorite musicals! She is super excited to perform and is ready for a bloody good time!

🔪The masks continue to come off as we proceed to reveal the many characters of Fleet Street. There's no place like London and there's no ensemble like the one that Theatre of Gadsden and Gadsden State Community College has assembled to bring the tale of Sweeney Todd to you like never before! 💈

✂️Mary Beth Butler (Ensemble) has had a blast this past year at Theatre of Gadsden doing shows such as Inherit the Wind (Rachel Brown), Escape to Margaritaville (Ensemble), Arsenic and Old Lace (Elaine Harper), Lend me a Tenor (Maggie Saunders), and just finished Matilda the Musical (Parent Ensemble/Judge)! She has also been seen with Ghostlight in Alice by Heart (Tabitha/Cheshire Cat). She has had so much fun with this show and hopes you enjoy!

🔪The masquerade has begun, but tonight, we're pulling back the masks and revealing another member of our Sweeney Todd ensemble. In a world filled with secrets, deception, and carefully crafted characters, every face has a part to play in this twisted tale.💈

🎭Hilary Blackwood is thrilled to be returning to the stage in Sweeney Todd. Hilary has been performing in community theatre since 1994. She currently works at Gadsden State and is thrilled to return to the stage at Wallace Hall. She wants to thank her husband and children for their support and love!
