Corn maze news from Sherman Farm!

For more than 175 years, the Fryeburg Fair has celebrated the people, traditions, animals, crops, and hard work that make agriculture such an important part of our community. That deep agricultural history makes the Fryeburg Fair the perfect partner for our 2026 corn maze.

Our roots run deep here, too. We believe agriculture is something worth celebrating—and something worth understanding.

Today, many people are several generations removed from the farm. For some, the food on their table begins and ends at the grocery store, with little opportunity to see where it comes from or meet the people who grow it. In 2022, there were fewer than 2 million farms in the entire United States, making up a small and shrinking part of our communities.

That’s why bringing people back to the farm matters.

It’s about seeing the crops grow, meeting the farmers, learning how food is produced, and understanding the land, animals, and traditions behind it all.

Through the Fryeburg Fair and Sherman Farm, we’re proud to celebrate agriculture, share its story, and help keep that connection alive right here in the Mount Washington Valley.
