The Movies in the Park Series is back this August!!

Little Giants will be playing in Civic Center Park this Friday!

Little Giants is a story about a hometown underdog story with a lot of heart. When a small Ohio town’s p*e wee football coach cuts his niece from the roster, her dad rounds up every kid who got left out and builds a team of his own. Expect trick plays, big laughs, and one very memorable comeback.

Bring blankets and low chairs. The movie starts at dusk at Civic Center Park. Movies in the Park is sponsored by MBC Grand Radio.

✨The 2026 Fall Activity Guide is out now! ✨

Find it here: https://www.fruita.org/742/Activity-Guide

Every year, three times a year, the City of Fruita creates a guide to help you with all things Fruita Parks and Recreation. From art classes and swim lessons to epic nights filled with dancing, movies in the park, free live music, and special events that are community-focused, the goal is to create beautiful experiences for you, your friends, and your family.

We put these guides together for you, our community, to help you make the most of this special place we call home. This year, spend time in our parks, dance with your neighbors, or learn something new. Take a look at the guide, settle in, and start planning, because we have a lot in store for you.

Come hang out with the Fruita Livability Commission for their very first Bike Safety Festival!

Saturday, August 29 | 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. | Shelledy Elementary

The first few weeks of school are when new routes get learned, so bring the whole family out for a morning of riding, learning, and a few good prizes.

Our bike rodeo will guide riders of every age through the basics: signaling, scanning, braking with confidence, and reading the intersections and driveways we all cross every day. It's a low-pressure course built for wobbly first-timers and seasoned commuters alike.

Giveaways run throughout the morning, and three riders will roll away with a $100 gift card to a local bike shop.

All ages welcome. Bring your bike and helmet, and we'll take care of the rest.
