It was named for their youngest son, Ramon, who had just been born. Another son, Frank, Jr., was an artist and painted very futuristic murals on the curved walls at the front of the theater. Unfortunately, they could not be preserved when the theater was restore

d. The Ramon was built to accommodate vaudeville acts and the showing of silent movies. It even has an orchestra pit, which is now covered and used for storage. However, vaudeville never made a comeback and talking movies evolved. The original piano that was played during silent movies still sits in the Ramon Theater. The Ramon is currently used as a Performing Arts and Concert Venue as well as home for our popular murder mysteries. The Ramon Theater, a dba of the Frostproof Chamber Foundation, Inc., is designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit Corporation CH30054. The Historic Ramon Theater was full of mystery and mayhem tonight! Murder by Mystery was a hit - everyone sure enjoyed the great suspects all the while trying to solve the crime. Thank you all who attended and for supporting the Ramon. A special thanks to Vicky Alley for her time and talent as she bids adeau. We appreciate all she has done in her extraordinary role as past manager of the Ramon and her leading the charge in past Murder Mystery series. Another round of applause to the actors who took the time to embrace their roles and help make the night a true success.

Masked by Murder - Ramon Theaters next exciting Murder Mystery will be
Saturday April 25th 7pm, doors open at 6pm.
$20 per person with coffee and dessert, guests are welcome to bring snacks and beverages of their choice.
