The Valley Chorale is the northern Shenandoah Valley's most dynamic choral ensemble.

Performing arts groups in our region rarely receive reviews; rather, upcoming concerts generally are previewed beforehand as a way of generating interest.

Therefore, we were stunned, elated and deeply appreciative to read Dr. Brent L. Kendrick's review of our recent concert titled OF THEE I SING: A CHORAL LOVE LETTER TO AMERICA. In his insightful and extensive piece, Kendrick examines the curatorial vision crafted by our Artistic Director, Kristina Sheppard, resulting in a selection of songs and writings exploring the essence of what makes this country like none other -- its history, people, faith, compassion and hope.

And that's a wrap!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our recent concerts, OF THEE I SING: A CHORAL LOVE LETTER TO AMERICA. What terrific audiences!

Together through evocative songs we explored the natural landscapes, faith and spirituality, human aspirations, and rich cultural history that make our great nation like none other.

We'll be back in December with MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT, our annual Christmas concerts -- a Shenandoah Valley tradition of more than 60 years.

PS: Auditions for prospective new singers will be held in late summer. Watch this space for details.

Stephens City, you are smashing!

What a night! Thanks to our fantastic patrons who joined us at Unitarian Universalist Church of the Shenandoah Valley for the second of our three concerts. The massively over-sold-out house was filled with positive energy and roof-raising performances by our singers and instrumentalists!
