To all Comics Alternative listeners:
I'm sorry to share the sad news that Derek Royal, creator of the Comics Alternative podcast, has passed away. Derek was the heart and soul of the podcast, and he worked tirelessly to make it a place for smart, insightful discussion of comics. He loved comics, and it shows in every episode.

I invite all the listeners who get this message to help celebrate Derek's life and his dedication to comics. Please share your favorite episodes, moments, and memories.

And from all of us who worked on the Comics Alternative, thank you all for listening to the podcast, for writing and commenting, for rating it, for sharing it with others, for supporting it, and for making it a success. Thanks to everyone who participated in the podcast and helped share Derek's dream. I know Derek was constantly grateful to the devoted listeners that we had and loved hearing from people. He loved doing the podcast.
