This season with the Friendswood Color Guard has been one to remember. Filled with growth, connection, and unforgettable moments on and off the floor…..

We are so proud of our students for their hard work and dedication all season long, earning recognition as WGI Regional Champions in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, as well as Silver Medalists in Mansfield.

They closed their season at the WGI World Championships in Dayton Ohio, competing among 136 Scholastic A units from across the country and finishing in 9th place! An incredible accomplishment on one of the biggest stages in our activity.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, donors, staff, and families whose support makes everything we do possible. Your generosity, time, encouragement, and belief in our students are felt in every rehearsal, every performance, and every moment in between. We truly could not do this without you.

More than any title or placement, we celebrate the heart of this group: the commitment, the growth, and the bond they’ve built together.

We are so grateful for this season and excited for all that’s still to come 💙

A lot to celebrate across the Friendswood Color Guard programs……. 💙

Our Junior High Cadet Color Guard (7th & 8th grade) have had an undefeated season in their Cadet Novice class and will compete at the TCGC State Championships on March 14. We’re incredibly proud of the work these students have put in this season and can’t wait to see them represent Friendswood at TCGC State.

We’re also excited to share that starting in the 2026 school year, our Junior High Color Guard program will expand to include 6th graders. More information about auditions and the upcoming season will be shared soon.

At the high school level, the Friendswood High School Color Guard recently brought home their second WGI Regional Championship of the season at the WGI Austin Regional, competing against 41 Scholastic A units from across Texas. The team continues their season with upcoming regionals in Mansfield (March 14–15) and San Antonio (March 21–22) as they prepare for the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.

We’re proud of the hard work happening of both our FCG Cadet and High School programs and are grateful for the continued support of our Friendswood community!

What people see on the field is only a small part of the story. The true growth happens behind the scenes — in the quiet, dedicated moments when no one’s watching. Marching season filled us with pride and joy. We loved and lived in every single second….

And now for Winter season — we are inspired, focused, and ready for this next chapter 💙
