“Men are called brave for so much less.” — Rebecca Woolf

What does it mean to be a woman who refuses to make herself smaller?

To question what we've been taught. To speak about what we've been told to keep quiet. To find beauty, anger, grief, and freedom in the complicated experience of being human.

Join Island Verse for an evening with acclaimed author Rebecca Woolf, whose writing fearlessly explores womanhood, motherhood, marriage, grief, desire, and the courage it takes to tell the truth. An evening of literature, vulnerability, and unapologetic honesty. ✨

What do women feel shame about? What are we unwilling to talk about?

Join Island Verse for an evening with bestselling author Rebecca Woolf, author of All of This: A Memoir of Death and Desire, a fearless exploration of grief, marriage, motherhood, desire, relief, and the complicated truths women are so often expected to keep to themselves.

Woolf writes into the contradictions: loving and grieving, wanting and leaving, loss and liberation, and what can happen when we stop apologizing for the complexity of being human.
