Stories of How We Got Here
Standing on Their Shoulders will showcase ceramic and multi media art that honors our elders and speaks to the history and legacy of striving for freedom, demonstrations, resistance, solidarity, celebrations, and injustice. A visual exploration of past, present, and future chapters on our paths to freedom.
Standing on Their Shoulders is a gallery exhibition featuring a visual exploration of past, present, and future chapters on our paths to freedom. Artists are invited to submit original artwork depicting people, events, artifacts, histories, hopes, or consequences. From realistic portrayals to imaginative interpretations, this exhibition welcomes diverse artistic perspectives that capture the beauty, tragedy, camaraderie, endurance, perseverance, character, power, and significance of this process.
We encourage submissions in all visual art mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, and more. Artwork should reflect the exhibition theme while demonstrating craftsmanship, design, and artistic vision.
