Summer has been fun, but oh so busy. 😅☀️ And somewhere in between all the chaos, I finally finished this painting. 🥹🎨

My replica of Mary Blair’s Cinderella’s Mirror (1950) from the Erin Green Replicants Course, and definitely my favorite! ✨

This one took me a while, but it reminded me that even when progress feels slow… it’s still progress. 💗

Trying to live a little more in the moment lately. Less rushing, more enjoying the process. And eventually… things do get finished. 😅🫶🏽

This one feels a little extra special. 🥹📚✨ I illustrated Aprendiendo a Leer en Español a couple of years ago, so finally getting to hold the finished book feels a little surreal. 🥹

Spanish was my first language and the language I grew up speaking at home. Now, it’s a language I’m trying to pass down to my own daughters. 💗 Getting to be part of a book that helps children learn and strengthen their Spanish feels like such a full-circle moment. 🫶🏽

So grateful to be part of a project that celebrates language, learning, and culture. Thank you Rita Flores and ILLUMINDS Libros for trusting me to be a part of it. 💗🎨📚

The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to surround yourself with people who uplift you, inspire you, and genuinely pour into you. 💗

To nourish yourself. Protect your energy. Make room for the people and things that make you feel most like YOU. ✨

Every year, I feel stronger, more confident, a little more courageous, happier, and more myself.

I guess it’s true what they say… 40 is where it gets good. 🥹✨ Here’s to more of this. 🫶🏽

🖌️ Started oil painting techniques class with Ruth Soderlund Artist
☕ Enjoyed more slow mornings at local coffee shops
🎀 Wrapped up three weeks of Hello Kitty Art Camp with Jason Esquivel
🏋🏽‍♀️ Continued prioritizing my health & strength

✨ The end of an era. 🎀 Three weeks of teaching Hello Kitty Art Camp came to an end today, and what a sweet way to wrap up our season together. ✨

These past few weeks were filled with paint, beads, Hello Kitty… and lots of girlhood. A space where girls could simply be themselves, express their creativity, encourage one another, and grow in confidence was such a beautiful reminder of why I love teaching art. 🌈

Grateful for every little moment, and curious to see where the next creative adventure leads. 🎨💕

💗 Connected with my community LATINAFEST ®️
🏴‍☠️ Became a student again in a painting class with Erin Green dren
🏕️ Four days out camping, reading, and making art
🏡 Finally moved into my little art studio

June was full of creating, learning, teaching, resting, and saying yes to new experiences. Can’t wait to see what July has in store. 🫶🏽
