This is Missy, our cat we adopted from Miss Winkles in Fresno, Ca. I paint in oils and have done some Pet portraits this last year, so I decided I wanted to use her as a model. Believe me she wasn?t impressed. My painting studio is in my home and to her the best thing I do is let her sit in my easel chair. Got to love her.

Deer for my Dear in oil.

During the quarantine, 2020, my fianc? back then became increasingly frustrated with the Covid-lockdown, especially since he missed out on deer during the previous hunting season. To lift his spirits, I surprised him with a painting titled ?Deer for My Dear in Oil.? He was deeply thrilled, filled with happiness and pride upon receiving it.

I have been following multiple artists online and have enrolled in several of their courses to hone my skills. I am a Filipina nurse, a mother, and a grandmother. In addition to oil painting, I also create charcoal portraits.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to showcase my work.

Sierra Reflections

Acrylic on canvas attached to plywood, will be used as a wall panel in a campervan, cut-outs to accommodate electrical outlets. I live in the central Sierra Nevada mountain region and have always found peace and fulfillment in a scene such as this. It?s my heaven on earth. This is not a specific place but my depiction of an area similar to that of Mt. Ritter and Banner Peak.

"Families are like Branches of a Tree"

I call this piece "Families are like Branches of a Tree", we all grow in different directions, but our roots remain as one.
This piece is created from Walnut, Copper, Bronze, Reclaimed metals and tiles.
In the center is the tree of life symbolizing the family tree.
The Copper leaves represent our children growing and leaving home to start their own lives.
The Hummingbirds on the Bronze circle symbolize happiness, hope, Love and positive energy.
Family is so important!!

I was attending U.C Berkeley when I first heard from a jukebox at Giant Burger from my co-op dorm on Ridge Road on North Campus. I got so excited that I went to see her three times, but the most exciting time was at the San Jose Folk Festival in '68. She was swilling diwn a bottle of Southen Comfort, her wavy mane of hair blowing in the wind, as she belted out "Piece if My Heart", "Summer Time" and so many others.

Tempus fugit

Fresno Art Group wow! Thank you very much very honored to be considered.

My name is David Everwine. I was a union painter for almost 30 years now retired. I was in charge of the artistic painting which allowed me to work on some incredible projects. I had to medically retire a few years ago due to my body being worn out. I started painting as a creative outlet just to pass time. Because of my background with different materials, most of my art is mixed media.
This piece is entitled Tempus Fugit. It is a 24 x 32 mounted in a scalloped wood frame. The base is canvas with a tinted epoxy pour over it. Then I use mostly metallic paint. You will find in most of my pieces how the light reflects differently from different angles and creates dimension. I think this gives them a life of their own. I've always leaned towards science fiction and futuristic themes. I want to tell a story that sparks imagination.

Flower Power

As a former manicurist I was drawn to this form of art a few years ago. Dot art is very relaxing and meditative. I craft for pain management, which has given me the option to create some amazing, beautiful and original gifts. This piece is the first I have made for me. I used acrylic paints on stretched canvas. The freedom of this art is it can be done on just about anything "one dot at a time"
