Happy New Year! 🎉 Rather than base my off of likes (which we all know that the algorithm doesn’t work in our favor most of the time), I chose images that stood out to me in 2020.
I started the year off with self-publishing my own planner, Luma Page, which honestly I only sold one copy to someone in Germany. However I was proud to achieve a big goal and I have plans on making it even better this year.
I also opened an Etsy shop selling some of my digital and physical crafts. Although there’s been few sales, I was excited to finally open an online store after delaying it for so long. In 2021, I plan to continue building my store and learning more about Etsy and selling online.
2020 was the year of mandalas. I drew a lot of mandalas both digitally and traditionally. I find mandalas to be therapeutic in the midst of the 2020 chaos. I hope to continue creating them and this year, I’d like to publish a mandala coloring book.
Due to the pandemic, I decided to open a new product line of masks on my RedBubble store. I saw a large increase in sales and traffic to my print-on-demand store, and some masks became quite popular. In 2021, I’ll continue to design fun masks and building my print-on-demand merchandise.
Lastly, the biggest achievement I am most proud of in 2020 is getting my own art studio. Despite the pandemic, 2020 was a perfect time for me to get a studio, and provide myself space where I can do my creative work outside of my home. I plan on making use of that space and continue building my brands.
Thank you to those of you who made it till the end. 😂 I know it’s long, but it mainly serves as a reminder for myself. What do you hope to achieve in 2021? It doesn’t have to be something big. As long as you have something to look forward to and work on being the best version of yourself, 2021 will feel like an achievement by the end.
