Here’s the current state of my engine— I have replaced the fuel pump and alternator pulley, added a fan belt and I cleaned the plugs. I replaced the old fuel line with new hoses and removed the engine bay fuel filter— I’ll be putting it up front below the gas tank.
What’s next? I’m going to take the gas tank out so I can strain the chunks out of the gas— there’s a good amount of corrosion sediment in the bottom, so that’s got to come out. I have a new alternator to put in, and I’ll have to figure out how to rewire the deleted voltage regulator. I’ll be installing a new starter, new plug wires, new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, and I’ve got a rebuild kit for my carburetor because it looks like it can be salvaged. I need to check the chassis fuel line too because so far it looks like it may be clogged.
And I still need to patch the floors, get new seats, and a new steering wheel!!!
