We had a lovely afternoon and evening with Annie Sumi and Travis Knapp yesterday. We enjoyed a relaxing Forest Bathing walk in the afternoon and a gorgeous concert in the evening filled with many songs about nature, love, and interconnectedness.
We also had the pleasure of hearing a few songs from Tiffany Erin Westover and Matthew Sheedy during the potluck. Our dear friend, Irvin Moore was invited to read a Mary Oliver poem during one of the songs. What a perfect day!

We're busy getting ready for tonight's concert and the Forest Bathing walk coming up this afternoon! We're hoping for a good turnout. Don't forget, we have two possible free tickets for tonight's show, providing we get enough people to attend!

We are really looking forward to our house concert tomorrow evening with Annie Sumi! Concert starts at 7:30 for this show because we are holding a forest bathing walk with Annie at 3:30 p.m., (up to ten people welcome to sign up for the walk), followed by a potluck at 6:30, all welcome. Hi, wonderful Oak Mountain Hideaway House Concerts folks! Just wanting to clarify that the forest bathing walk prior to the concert is open to anyone and you do not have to stay for the concert, although, I wouldn't know why you would miss it! The potluck is also optional, You may attend the concert only.
Timeline:
Forest Bathing walk: 3:30 $20
Potluck: 6:30 (bring your favorite dish)
Concert: 7:30 $25 BYOB
Please let me know your plans for attending. It will be very helpful. Please spread the word!

We had a very special evening last night with Austin MacRae, Jim Colbert, and a mama bear and her cubs! And, stormy weather ⛈️ !! Thanks to everyone who came out!!

We have two opportunities for getting a free ticket to one of our upcoming 2023 concerts!
We are very close to finishing off a roll of 2000 tickets!! I don't remember what year we purchased this roll but that means 2,000+ people have enjoyed Oak Mountain Hideaway House Concerts over the past 18 years! At an average of $20/ticket, we have generated over $40k to support the bands and musicians who have been so gracious to come into our 🏡 to entertain us, and the wonderful folks who have attended! As a small token of our appreciation, Ed and I will purchase one free ticket for the person who gets the last ticket on what's left of our roll and one for the lucky person who gets the first ticket on the new roll! Invite your friends to see if it happens at our concert this Saturday!

We will also have a prize for the person who guesses how many tickets are left on the roll. Attendance for our August 12th show is required to win. Closest wins. If there is a tie, we will hold a drawing.

BAD NEWS: And so it goes. We now have availability this weekend at our cabin. We had a cancellation. 🙁
GOOD NEWS: We have a house concert this weekend so come see the show and stay the weekend! If it's clear, there is also a meteor shower and we have DARK SKIES!! This is also the cabin in which some of the scenes from Generational Sins was filmed! You can watch it here!
