Donations are doubled on Donors Choose! Do you want to support the arts and help fund cardboard cutting tools for my program? My students will love these Chopsaws that will help recycle our school’s cardboard into awesome art! Right now my project only needs $300 more (with the matching funds) to bring it to completion.

Help me give my students the tools for their creativity with cardboard cutting tools! Give my students the tools they need to safely turn big ideas into amazing works of art. In our art room, creat...

Pizza, pizza, pizza! Our pizza box fundraiser with Seasons Pizza is on FIRE! 🔥
Students got creative, turning pizza boxes into their very own canvases—and the best part? On their assigned pizza night, they get their custom pizza served up in their one-of-a-kind art box!
Huge shoutout to our PTO and Seasons Pizza for teaming up on this awesome community project. Our schools earn 15% back from pizza sales… talk about a win-win!

Art + pizza = yum yum for everyone!

We say we want flexible thinker and Art is where students practice becoming one. 🎨

All month long I’ll be sharing 31 reasons art education matters for the whole child.

Day 6: Art develops flexible thinking.

A plan changes.
A color doesn’t work.
An idea evolves.

In the art room, students learn there isn’t just one solution. They adjust, rethink, and try a new direction.

That kind of thinking carries far beyond the art table.

Frustration level and overcoming is a powerful thing!

We say we want resilient kids - Art is where they practice becoming one. 🎨

All month long I’ll be sharing 31 reasons art education matters for the whole child.

Day 4: Art builds frustration tolerance.

A line doesn’t go where they planned.
The paint mixes wrong.
Something tears or smudges.

And instead of quitting, they learn to pause, adjust, and keep going.

That ability to persist without shutting down is a life skill.

We say we want problem solvers.
We say we want emotionally intelligent leaders.
We say we want kids who can collaborate.

Art is where they practice becoming all three. 🎨

Day 3 of 31 Days of Advocacy.

When students create, they are thinking, feeling, and connecting at the same time.
They plan and revise.
They manage frustration.
They share space, ideas, materials.

Cognitive. Emotional. Social.
All activated in one lesson.

Few subjects ask the whole child to show up at once like this.
