The Real Story Behind Today’s Story Time Paw-ty™

A few minutes before my first Story Time Paw-ty™ at Steve & Kate’s Camp, I hit record.

What you’ll see in this video isn’t a polished performance. It’s the truth.

I was nervous.

Not because I didn’t prepare. Not because I didn’t care.

I was nervous because this dream matters to me.

Stories By Jamie started with a simple idea: to create experiences that help children laugh, learn, move, connect, and believe in themselves. But every time we step into something new, there’s uncertainty.

Will the kids enjoy it?
Will I connect with them?
Will all the hard work be worth it?

Today reminded me that courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s showing up anyway.

No matter what happens, I’m grateful for every opportunity to share stories, encourage children, and continue building something that I truly believe in.

Today I’m sharing something a little different. A real behind the scenes look into becoming a children’s author, storyteller, and EDUTAINER.

It’s a real conversation about being nervous, being grateful, and continuing to move forward even when things feel uncertain.

Building Stories By Jamie has been one of the most rewarding and challenging journeys of my life. From publishing my first children’s book, “The Fun & Furry Tales of Rex: Adoption Day!” to creating Story Time Paw-ty™ programs for children, I’ve learned that growth often happens outside our comfort zone.

Behind every book, every school visit, every Story Time Paw-ty™, and every dream is a person who sometimes feels nervous too.

🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉

I GOT BOOKED OUT OF STATE! ✈️📚🐾

I am beyond excited to share that my Story Time Paw-ty™ program is heading to ARIZONA! 🌵☀️

As a local children’s author, illustrator, storyteller, and Bubble Dance Party DJ for Kids, this is a dream come true. What started as one little book about three adorable rescue puppies has grown into a literacy and social-emotional learning program that is now reaching children beyond California!

Every time a school, camp, library, or organization invites me to share my story, I have the opportunity to help children discover the power of kindness, gratitude, courage, and believing in themselves.

To everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, attended an event, bought a book, shared a post, or simply cheered me on—THANK YOU. ❤️

I got booked! Stories By Jamie is coming to summer camps and schools near you! Hehe Yaaay!!

I am so grateful and excited that I have been booked at 4 camps so far to do my Story Time Paw-ty program where I use my adorable children’s book, “The Fun & Furry Tales of Rex: Adoption Day!” to teach children social emotional lessons.

I do stretches and breath work with kids. I perform a fun and interactive storytelling while teaching the concepts. Then, I throw an awesome bubble dance party! It’s so much fun!

I can’t wait to do this for children! I love to perform, teach, and dance! I am so grateful to have figured out an amazing program that combines my gifts and passions in such a fun way!

I am so grateful that I got booked to make my dream come true!! I hope the kiddos love my enrichment program! Ahhhh I’m getting nervous! Haha
