I used to be the 'Project Director' of a design team. A bunch of Freelance artist that pool their talents together to do projects, it was founded by me. Now, full disclosure, I had recently dealt with my own brush with infidelity before this situation; and it may have influenced my reaction. My former protégé, Dawn, had an affair with a client. This bothered me for a number of reasons. One because of the unprofessionalism of it, and how that's influenced the actual work. Dawn had been allowing changes, and other work to be done outside of what is contracted, causing more work for others that isn't being paid, but that's the business side. My big issue, other than being disappointed as hell with it, is I not only brought Dawn up into the group and trained her, but I introduced her to her husband Kurt and was the best man at that wedding. He is our free lance accountant in money man. I've known him longer than Dawn. The issue came about when I found out, the team wanted to rug sweep the situation, even though Kurt is our friend and does investments, taxes, and financial consultant for everyone

My ex and I had 2 kids (8 and 6) who are the absolute best things that came out of my marriage. We separated when my second was born. We had pretty equal custody for the next two years, then I got an amazing job offer in another state. I was able to work out a plan with my ex where I had the kids for the school year and she got them for Christmas and the summer. She did not want to move, but she let me take the kids because there were much better education opportunities and housing options where I moved to. This has been out plan for the last 4 years. My wife and I do pretty much all of the parental hard work like homework and discipline while my ex gets to take them on trips and treat them on breaks. It's tough, but I'm closer with the kids than she is. I also feel bad that my wife, who has raised both kids for almost their entire lives, and who has put in so much effort, gets no credit. She doesn't have any legal claim to the kids and if I died, she might

Three years after losing his mom, this 🐛 14-year-old finally had one thing he could control: his room. Then one sleepover changed everything. His stepdad had said yes to his 17-year-old sister’s weekend plan, with two clear 🎋 boundaries meant to keep the peace. But when he checked in around 10, he walked into a scene that made his stomach drop—girls in the boy’s room, on his bed, handling personal items, while he sat 💌 🐏 motionless with tears in his eyes. The dad reacted fast: guests out, parents called, night over. His daughter called it extreme. He called it basic respect. Was this parenting… or a family fracture 🛰 in real time?

My fiance Henry and I had our first child, Dom, 2 months old. The first month was very complicated, many sleepless nights and stress, nothing unusual. Now Dom is sleeping a little more, but we still wake up at night. Last Wednesday Henry asked if about 3 of his friends could come over on Friday for them to play and he could be free of responsibility for about 2/3 hours. I thought it was a reasonable request, because I already asked him for the same 1x and he was fine. As I know it gets noisy, I visited my mother with my baby and had dinner with her, it was time and I came back. They were still there and my fiancé pulled me aside saying they were having fun and if they could stay another hour. I reluctantly accepted, the noise wasn't too bad (less competitive game). I put my son to sleep after 30 minutes and I went to bed myself. After 2 hours, I (who is a heavy sleeper) woke up and right after that Dom woke up. I went into the living room (where they were) and I gave Henry a hard look and he spoke

My wife has had a tough year. We’ve lost two pregnancies in six months and with both of them, she had such severe morning sickness she could barely leave the house. She felt extremely isolated and depressed due to this but is starting to get back on her feet and is planning to go back to work next month. As she was so unwell, her body changed. Before pregnancy, she had been a regular gym goer but lost a lot of muscle mass as she was throwing up so often and since the miscarriages, gained a little more back. I think she looks beautiful but none of her clothes fit/suit her anymore and she says she doesn’t feel confident in herself at all but she’s not been working so feels guilty buying herself new stuff. I’ve been secretly buying her lots of things over the last couple of weeks so she has a whole new wardrobe to return to work with, both casual every day stuff and workwear, shoes, a bag and vouchers for her favourite underwear shop. I previously worked in fashion so have a good eye and also called in favours from old friends. I was planning on

Imagine being told to disappear from your own child’s ♥️ life—and then ⚡ blamed for disappearing. That is the nightmare this father 🐥 is living. His daughter was raised in an exam-obsessed culture where parents without money have almost no ✈ backup plan. At 25, after failing a crucial college test, she left home, started working at a bar, and demanded zero communication. He and 💜 his wife kept every boundary, even while grieving the distance. Then years later, she reached out and said their silence proved they never 😸 loved her. Was this obedience, n__lect, or something in between? The next conversation left everyone frozen.

So, I have been with my boyfriend about 4 years now. We live together now for 2 years. When I met him, he had been divorced from his ex wife for 2 years. She's been a bit of a problem. She struggled with some mental health issues and so it's hard for her to keep a man in her life. She's caused us a lot of problems but we've been able to stick by each other and it pi**es her off. She has refuses to let me be apart of her 12 year old sons life. I am not allowed to speak to him, and she makes it clear that I can't be involved. The son does not speak to me and I don't even try to simply because I'm not sure if it makes him feel awkward or if she might take it out on him and tell him if he speaks to me, he doesn't love her. Anyway, the divorce decree states that if the mother carries health insurance, then she is owed the full amount of child support but if the dad carries, then child support is reduced. When the agreement was done, she agreed to carry

My (45M) current wife " Alicia" (29F) is the stepmother of my two kids (10F, 8F). My kids' biological mom died 2 years ago from a rare form of cancer called mesothelioma. From diagnosis to losing her it was just over 4 months. The hospital that had treated my late wife offered grief support groups that specialized in helping kids deal with their grief. I decided to take my kids to the support groups. Alicia was working in the gift shop of the hospital, so we'd pass each other regularly. My kids were also getting private sessions with a social worker so I'd sit in the coffee shop and could see Alicia from there. One day I struck up a conversation. One thing led to another and we married 6 months ago. When I was married my late wife, I never imagined that my kids would need a nanny, but it we started off poor. Things have changed financially. Alicia is a great person who helped me get out of my shell and socialize. Always getting me thoughtful gifts. However, she admitted she didn't anticipate the thankless, backbreaking tasks that come with raising kids. Her mom did everything for her

Ashley said nothing. She smiled 😋 and 🐦 congratulated Ronnie. She broke down and cried with me and Kade. She hadn't known Ronnie was planning 🌷 this and was incredibly hurt that Ronnie chose to use that 🚐 name out of all the names out there. Kade confronted Ronnie and he called her out for only announcing the name when our nephew was 3 weeks old 📢 and everything was finalized.

I (27f) and my fiance "Leo" (27m) decided to let my FSIL "Maya" (32f) stay at our house because she needed space from her husband due to some relationship struggles they're having. Leo and I had gotten wedding cake samples from an expensive bakery specializing in wedding cakes. We planned to test them along with Maya after we finished up some other wedding plans yesterday. However, when I came home from work to see Leo yelling at Maya, the box the samples came in wide open on the living room table, and Maya arguing with him. I asked what was happening, and Leo angrily told me that while we were both at work, Maya had some friends over and they ended up eating almost all of our cake samples. I was shocked and asked Maya why the hell she would do something like that. Maya said that she needed a pick-me-up from what she was going through with her husband and invited her friends over to comfort her, which turned into them eating the cake samples after one of her friends noticed the box on our kitchen counter. My shock turned into anger, and Maya tried to defend herself by
