The mission of One Stage Theatre is to cultivate the love of live theatre in the Tri-City and Greater San Francisco Bay Area. We are a non-profit community organization that provides opportunities for audiences, artists, and members of the community to experience and participate in outstanding theatrical performances. One Stage Theatre offers equal access and equitable opportunities through our commitment to building an inclusive environment. Non-AEA; Age range: 16+. Volunteer only. All roles are open.
Seeking 4-6 actors (any gender) to play various characters from the works of Edgar Allan Poe.

REHEARSALS: Sept 27 - Oct 2 (Zoom and in-person)
PRESENTATION: Oct 2 at 7:30pm
Rehearsals and presentation in Fremont CA.

To submit: Prepare a one-minute comedic monologue. Begin your video by stating your name and the name of your piece. Email your video along with your headshot and resume to [email protected] with Subject line: Poe Audition Submission.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
(Once Upon a Poe is a musical parody in development. The final presentation will be a staged reading.) Enter into a world where gothic literature meets chart-topping hits in Once Upon a Poe. This spectacular family panto remixes The Raven and The Tell-Tale Heart into a vibrant, humorous musical adventure. Watch your favorite spooky stories come alive on stage to the tune of iconic anthems like “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” “Summer Nights,” “Bye Bye Bye,” and “Kiss Me.” A night of Poe and pop perfection, it is the ultimate treat for the whole family.

This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of four), an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers, and some good old-fashioned romance!
