A huge shoutout and congratulations to our team member Joe Kaiser for receiving multiple awards at the Sandusky County Fair last week, including a Best of Show! Joe, who is a versatile artist, crafter, and teacher, created all of these pieces at Pottery Perfection, and we couldn't be more proud! Join our class next Wednesday, September 9, from 6 to 8 pm to create a beautiful mosaic of your own design using ceramic tiles and stones on a square 4" terracotta pot.

After adhering the pieces, you'll take your mosaic pot home to let the adhesive cure for 24 to 48 hours before completing the final step of grouting. You will receive a take-home kit with grout, gloves, a bowl, and a sponge to complete the grouting, plus a fresh succulent to plant from Country Creek Greenhouse in Woodville.

No experience needed; our expert instructor, Joni Hasselbach, will guide you step by step. The class fee is $39 (non-refundable) per person and includes all materials and a succulent.

Whether you're a beginner keen to explore the art of throwing or an experienced potter aiming to enhance your skills, this workshop offers something beneficial for everyone. Classes are available in September, October, and November.

SEPTEMBER CLASSES START THIS SATURDAY THE 5TH! SIGN UP SOON!

Pottery Perfection's Kids Art Club returns for the new school year this Saturday, September 5! Our amazing club coordinator and instructor, Joni Hasselbach, has prepared an array of exciting class projects.

Kids Art Club offers a fun and interactive setting where children can express their creativity and craft unique artwork using a variety of media.

The club welcomes children aged 6-12. To join, 6-year-olds must be in 1st grade. We gather on four Saturdays each month from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.

The monthly fee is $75 per child (non-refundable) and includes all materials. Enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 school year. You can register your child monthly or for multiple months at once.

THIS FRIDAY!

Create with resin at our workshop this Friday, September 4, from 6 pm to 9 pm. You can do resin casting or crushed glass and resin crafting (faux stained glass), or both.

We offer resin molds, glitter, shimmer powders, and alcohol inks for creating personalized soap dishes, coasters, trays, and more. Bring flat items like flowers or photos to customize your creations. Prices vary by item.

Create faux stained glass with our 1/4 MDF frames using crushed glass, acrylic markers, and resin. Available sizes: 6" ($25), 8" ($35), and 12" ($55).

Our fast-curing resin sets in about an hour, so you can take your creations home the same evening. While waiting, paint pottery, glaze stoneware, create fused glass, or return when your item is cured.

Registration is required, with a $10 non-refundable sitting fee per person, deducted from your item cost.

We are thrilled to introduce Destini Oler as the newest addition to our talented Pottery Perfection team. She will join Emily Rodenhauser as a skilled wheel-throwing instructor.

Destini is an art educator and ceramic artist with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Ashland University, where she majored in art education with a concentration in ceramics. She has several years of experience teaching art, including ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, digital art, and more.

Ceramics has always been one of Destini's favorite ways to create because of the uniqueness of transforming a simple lump of clay into something both functional and beautiful. Destini especially loves wheel throwing and enjoys helping others discover the rewarding (and sometimes hilariously frustrating) experience of working with clay.

Destini states, "Whether you've never touched a pottery wheel before or you're looking to build on skills you already have, my goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where you can learn, experiment, and have fun. I can't wait to get my hands dirty with you!"

We were paid an awesome visit not once but twice today by these two absolutely adorable guests! They first stopped by our tent at the Sandusky County Fair, where Pottery Perfection co-owner Paul Hasselbach treated them to cool glitter tattoos.

Afterwards, they came to our downtown studio for the first time and created some beautiful personalized pottery pieces as gifts for their mom and dad. We are so grateful for your visit to both locations. You truly brightened our day! 🥰

Visit us at the fair today till 11 pm, Saturday 10 am to 11 pm, and Sunday 10 pm to 6 pm. Our studio is open with modified hours during fair week: today till 6 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 1 pm to 6 pm.
