Casting will be announced soon. We are still seeking a sound tech and a choreographer. Also, more ensemble folks, knights and ladies, would be great; we're accepting those until June 26.

We need more people to audition, Tuesday, June 16, 5:30 pm, Freeport HS, back door. Please come between 5:30 and 6 and expect to sing and then have groups reading from sides. AUDITIONS! "Once Upon a Mattress" Director: Mitch Thomas. Assistant Director: Linda Duarte. Sunday, June 14—2-6 pm and Tuesday, June 16—5:30-8 pm Auditions at Freeport High School Music Room (use back entrance) Please come early! Auditions are in groups. We also seek backstage help with costumes, sound, sets, props. Come to auditions to introduce yourself.
Director Mitch Thomas will accompany you on piano for music auditions. Please bring sheet music for a song you will audition (not necessarily from the show, but good if so). Recorded backup music also ok. Auditions will also include sides from the script. Parts and ensemble roles are for ages 16 and up. Please contact Producer, Judy Lloyd, jelloyd68 .com, or Director, Mitch Thomas mitchellclydethomas .com, if you cannot get to auditions, but want to be considered.
PRINCIPALS: 3 Women--Princess Winnifred, Queen Aggravain, Lady Larken. And 6 Men-- Prince Dauntless, King Sextimus the Silent, Sir Harry, Minstrel, Jester, Wizard
Other CHARACTERS: Pantomime Characters, Princess No. 12, Sir Studley, Sir Luce, 1st Knight, 2nd Knight, 3rd Knight, 1st Lady-in-Waiting – Rowena, 2nd Lady-in-Waiting – Merrill, 3rd Lady-in-Waiting – Lucille, Lady Mabelle, Kitchen W***h, Emily, Nightingale
ENSEMBLE: Singing and dancing ensemble consisting of Ladies-in-Waiting, Knights, Soldiers, Servants and Musicians.
Rehearsals begin in late June, through July and early August, mostly Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Performances will be August 7-9 and Aug 14-16.

Everyone had SOOO much fun and great food at "Crab Cakes!" Thanks to all who attended, cooked, acted, served,baked, etc, etc, It's a real community effort.

Comedy dinner theater with Freeport Players (to be presented May 8 & 9. Rehearsals Sun and Tues, mostly, in March and April.)
Director Linda Duarte likes to have groups audition for the parts together, so please come between 6 and 6:30. Park in back lot, and enter through side door.
