🚨 OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS US RIGHT NOW 🚨

Many of you know Chief Ron Melchert, who has spent years serving and protecting our community as Grant Township / Mason County Rural Fire Chief.

Right now, Chief Ron is battling Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer, and it’s our turn to stand behind him. ❤️

A Spaghetti Dinner Benefit & Silent Auction is set up to help with medical expenses and support him during this fight.

Tonight, our haunted prison feels a little quieter.

We lost the voice that welcomed you out front of Camp Sauble — our storyteller, our greeter, our friend. For so many seasons, he set the tone before anyone even stepped inside, pulling you into the story with his words, his presence, and that unmistakable spark. He didn’t just tell stories… he made you feel them.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, he has finally found his rest. While our hearts are heavy, we are so grateful for the memories he gave us, the laughs, the chills, and the magic he brought to every single guest who stood before him.

His stories will live on in this place forever. Every flicker of the lights, every whisper in the dark — he’s part of it now.

Rest easy, storyteller. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. You will always be a part of Camp Sauble. 🖤🎃
