We love our furry friends, but Forest Trail is not the place for them...

Service Dogs are permitted as outlined in ADA guidelines.

This is a very strict rule for the benefit of everyone attending- we do not allow entry to emotional support animals, well behaved pets, or anything not explicitly required under ADA guidelines.

✨FTMF Artist Spotlight: Seth Bernard✨

Seth has traveled the world and blanketed the US as a magnetic performer and uplifting cultural worker and is equally at home fronting a large electrified ensemble as he is holding a crowd alone with an acoustic guitar. Seth has served as the Director of the Musical Ambassador Program for On the Ground where he helped cultivate partnerships and cultural exchanges between communities in southern Mexico, Ethiopia and eastern Congo and communities in Michigan with a focus on solidarity and creative collaboration. “Eggs” Bernard is a NMEAC Environmentalist of the Year Award winner for Arts Education and has worked with SEEDS and On Stage for Kids bringing nature-based experiential creative empowerment to young people across the Great Lakes region and beyond.

In addition to his ongoing efforts and activism for clean water, racial equity, and youth empowerment, Seth is a prolific songwriter and recording artist with 12 solo albums and a dozen more collaborative projects in his catalog. He’s won eight Jammie awards as a recording artist and producer and has been a longtime iconic leader and steward of Michigan’s music community. His newest work, “Eggtones”, is a four-album series released over the last 2 years to critical acclaim.

Lets be real- if you're reading this, you all already know and love Seth and his music, and all he does to make our communities (and consequentially, this world) a better a place. Whether its through Earthwork, Title Track, or any of the dozens of meaningful projects he is a part of, the list of accolades and love for Seth is nearly, if not truly, endless. We have so much respect for him, and it is such an honor and privilege to have him close out the festival on Sunday afternoon! Make sure you stick around for his set on Aug 30th @ 2:30pm. ✨FTMF Artist Spotlight: Sophie Coyote✨

Sophie Coyote is a singer/songwriter from the small mid-western town of Waddams Grove, Illinois. Born in an old farm house surrounded by rolling fields. She was raised on a broad range of musical influences that include classic rock & roll, honky-tonk country and a bit of blues. This open mind of influence has led to a songwriting style that is reminiscent of the raw and honest age of music; lyrically driven with interesting stories, unique twists and word-play. ​

​ In March of 2022 she released a live recorded E.P. titled “Indigo Child” featuring 6 of her original songs. The E.P. was recorded on a small microphone with raw, single-take acoustic tracks showcasing the bare-bones of Sophie’s songwriting talents as well as her unique vocal stylings. The E.P. propelled her into the regional music scene with a full schedule of performance dates around and throughout the Midwest.

Grand Rapids, MI is where Sophie's first full production song titled, “Venom” came to fruition. Showcasing producer Mark Lavengood’s talent on guitar, bass, mandolin & piano. The haunting fiddle was performed by Nashville, TN country artist Lillie Mae. Drums by Cassady Feasby of the Dierks Bentely band. With producer Misa Arriaga, Sophie went on to make her recently released single “Coyote Queen.'' Featuring six talented Nashville musicians, as well as some howling coyotes.

She has a very relatable and raw storytelling ability in her lyrics, and what we can only describe as a hauntingly beautiful voice full of emotion- we absolutely love her sound and know you will too! Levi Lamberjack’s eclectic tastes and quest for musical knowledge has concocted a serum full of Appalachian folk culture, Mississippi blues, and life experiences to form a relative and touching experience that also has the power to take you back in time. His smooth and confident vocals and oldtimey guitar are sure to intrigue, and hopefully touch and inspire the listener. Drawing inspiration from labor union songsters such as Pete Seeger, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and Woody Guthrie , and from the personal and heartfelt tunes of Blaze Foley,Tom Paxton, and Dave Van Ronk, empowerment and melancholy are prominent themes in his work. Modern comparisons include Nathaniel Rateliff, Ray LaMontagne, Willie Watson, and Charley Crockett. Lamberjack gained his experience from the small DIY music scenes of Central Indiana, USA, making unforgettable memories and, when he moved to the northern part of the state, discovering a newfound love for his roots. He now lives in the Berlin, Germany and has found a place in the city’s mighty folk scene, where his nomadic spirit can come alive as he takes the train to a different open mic or show each night of the week. He is currently the host of The Ratzeputz Sessions, where he curates monthly live music sessions, booking Berlin and beyond’s top Singer Songwriters, every third Tuesday at Ratzeputz Bar in Neukölln.
