There is no dance Friday March 6. The Grange roof has sprung multiple leaks and the forecast for the rest of the week is rain, rain, and more rain. We are taking Easter weekend off; our next dance is Friday, April 10.

We’re having a traditional dance party and you are invited! To celebrate back to dancing, we are having a special dance.

The date is SATURDAY, MARCH 4, 2023. Please note that we’re not dancing on the First Friday this month but the first SATURDAY. And we're starting EARLY!

This night only: admission is FREE. If you know people who want to try contra and squares and whatever…this is the night for them to try it. The mix of dances we do will be tailored to the experience of the crowd.

We dance from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Fredonia Grange, 58 W. Main Street in downtown Fredonia.

Caller is Joe Kwiatkowski and music is by our local musicians.

WE'RE TRYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN MARCH! Our dance will be on the first SATURDAY of the month, Saturday March 4th, and admission is FREE. All of you out there who always wondered about trying a dance, this is your chance. More details to follow, but mark your calendars and tell your friends.

It's been 35 long months, but we are resuming the First Friday Contra dance series on Friday, February 3. We gather from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the Fredonia Grange, 58 W. Main Street in downtown Fredonia.

No inflation here: admission is still only $7 for adults, $5 for students, and children 12 and under are free.

Caller is Joe Kwiatkowski and our February tradition is the various members of the "Fredonia Community Contra Band".

What about COVID? We all as a community have been living a normal life maskless. I quote the flyer from another dance: "We respect the vaccination choices of those in attendance, and will not be requesting proof of vaccination. Similarly, masks will be optional – and we ask you to please respect other’s choices." The only thing I ask is that if you are not feeling well, please stay home.
