While a break is always good to recharge, the Art Department is missing all the hustle and bustle of our community during the school year ♥️
The Art Department here at UMW is truly privileged to have a community that is endlessly kind and supportive to peers and strangers in and outside of the classroom.
Our students get opportunities to travel across oceans to Japan or to France, see what places like New York City art scenes have to offer, or even work in the mountains of Tennessee, and to see and hear how wonderful our students are out in the world makes us feel so proud.
In our classrooms, because of our smaller class sizes, we see up close how our students grow and become better artists as well as how they support one another. When it comes to the senior shows or the Annual Student Art Show, the awe in one another that fills the air is unlike anything else.
We miss you all! And to the new faces arriving in the fall, we can’t wait to meet you ⭐️
