I’ve had lots of people ask me about my process: how I pick clothes, the process when I get home, then when my prints are available at markets, so here you go! From thrifting, washing (gotta get that icky thrift store feel off before I print), hanging (so they don’t get wrinkly - I don’t always have time to print right away), printing (dark clothes with white ink and light clothes with black ink, cause each set up with the linoleum needs to be washed and dried between each printing), drying (this part takes planning - the ink takes 7 days to dry for it to become permanent, so I’m usually guessing on what I’ll need for the week ahead at each market, hoping I have enough for the weekend since I can’t make any last minute items), cleaning up (this part honestly takes the longest, you have to be careful not to let the ink dry on the rollers or linoleum or it can permanently damage them, and you can’t get the back of linoleum wet because of the natural fibers holding it together - if they get soggy it warms the linoleum, then drying them as flat as you can to prevent warping). PHEW! If you have any questions about my process don’t hesitate to ask in the comments!
