along with working musicians, for free? The Fredericksburg Jazz Collective is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to keeping this musi

c alive in our local area, through a variety of programs and online resources. By increasing the public’s exposure to this music, we can ensure better-paying gigs, more student interest, and a healthier, more diverse local entertainment economy. But WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION! We have functions at the Colonial Tavern in Fredericksburg, which has been a long-term supporter of ours, so feel free to join us whenever we have shows there. We continue to look forward to the future and being part of a cultural community with the city of Alexandria though the Creative Communities grant (http://www.arts.virginia.gov/grants_local.html). This helps us stay a vital part of the Fredericksburg community and we are thankful. We normally have our monthly meetings at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Fredericksburg Branch, but due to Covid-19 our meetings have been held temporarily online.
