meeting at FIG 8 ink Studios We will be making some avatar profiles! Sign up www.figure8ink.com

This is a fun way for a creative adult to get in touch with their inner child and romanticize their own life. You could also use this time to develop a character profile for an OC or avatar for a game that you like.
There are many ways to do this!
there is the starter pack method that has been pretty popular, there is the webpage method, or a " choose your fighter " with stats
and you can do this digitally or on paper.
I am currently working on my own paper collage version of this project, which takes longer than the two hour timeslot for the class
if you want to do a Collage, I would recommend planning it out early and coming to the class knowing what style you would like and what the information is that you'll be putting on your project.
The benefits of doing a 2-D model rather than digital, is that you can keep it in a journal, folder, or scrapbook, or memory box, and look back on it in the future. Also, in the age of Al overlords and warlords, it's really healing to get back in touch with arts and crafts.
During meeting time you will have ~my help and guidance as needed ~ examples to refer to
~access to all of the studios collaging materials and drawing materials,
~ access to our printer
~ if you would like to work digitally I can share brush packs as needed and provide help and shortcuts in pro create
I look forward to this project and will post my example as soon as I finish it I'm really excited to share

✨Triple breasted nursing alien momma goddess for bestie Liz Shelton by Figgy ✨
✨I’m very proud of this piece - definitely out of my everyday comfort zone - which is a good place to keep going occasionally! First, I wanted the design to be 10/10. You would think it’s easier to draw for friends and family but it’s actually harder. You want it to be this perfect custom combo of your style, their style, and the vision. NAAAILED ITTTT THOOO 🎤 👋🏼. This detailed fine line solid color work in the inner upper arm was a CHALLENGE for both of us (high pain level for her and harder to tattoo for me) but we crushed it ! This took two long sessions (3+ hours) and 1 short sesh. Happy we got to spend time together making art, and celebrating motherhood and how lucky we are our kids get to grow up together ! And just being near each other through some various challenging times in both our lives- sometimes it’s just nice to sit with understanding. Fun fact : Liz and I grew up together too! Our families were close friends for decades. I even babysat Liz and her sibs and lil cousin Bennett (s/o new dad!)- then later in life, we reconnected and now we’ve been besties for a decade through thick and thin. She was just saying how Link was a babe on her hip on the studio opening day. Finishing a piece like this reminds me of the deep joy and honor I feel for this profession and the people I get to tattoo and the soul level experiences we all share. Ahh, life. What a wonderful rollercoaster. Love you alien sister Tofu!✨ 👽 😘 🧚🏽‍♀️🍄
