20 ish years ago, I was given a piece of diamond plate, and painted this sign for my great friend Doug crotts, the owner of Qualitat Vw. The best vw shop in dfw. 10 ish years later it was worn, peeling from the elements. We pulled it back down, same piece of diamond plate, and I completely redid it. 10 years after that (now) Doug is retired, the building is sold, and we took the sign down for the last time. Bittersweet. Going to miss the shop, the “no shows” we had there, and the excitement to go see Doug on a Sat morning with money burning a hole in my pocket for bus parts. Sign will hang in my hallway now, patina’d with a bullet hole in the door! Miss this place already! R Slacks Axelrod

Waylon and willie are finally together! So the fair had 2 mil people. If 10% went into the creative arts building, 200k people saw my work. :)
