Sharing “Ephemeral”a 16x20in watercolor on hot pressed paper that I had the privilege of finishing after 10 days of painting👩🏻‍🎨

Hope you love it! 🩷

The guiding thought behind this painting is the wonder and pain of impermanence & the universal truth that beauty, life and even moments of love are fleeting🌬️🍃Embrace them while you can✨🩷

P.S. I had two songs on repeat while painting this, so I’d say they became part of the inspiration too🎵✨

“Saturn” by Sleeping At Last and “Lost In Your Orbit” by Wrest.

Photo dump from my first solo show at Triangle Art Studios in Bethesda, titled "A Watercolor Journey: In Search of Home, Wonder & Beauty."✨

The exhibition opened on June 4, with the opening reception held on June 12, and will remain on view through June 28🗓️

And again a big thank you to everyone who has supported me, both online and in person, along the way🩷

Wrapped up the first week with some new finished paintings and a lengthy reflection 😅🙌

Here it goes… Doing a solo show without a large local following is pretty risky, you put in so much time & effort and the only thing you can really do after is to be open with how things will unfold, but with my mantra being “life is too short to say no to art opportunity,” I said yes anyway😂

I’ve noticed that my show visitors are more intentional and as expected very few compared to shows where the crowd is already promised, my visitors are not so much the passerby’s, the people that come to the gallery choose to be there, they drive or walked to see my works irl and connect with me, and I am beyond grateful for each and everyone that have made it to the show so far 🩷

I especially wanted to thank Brett and Ashely, my new art collectors. I met them at the the Rockville art show, they brought home “Harper In The Rain” that day and this week they visited the exhibition early, Brett mentioned , they both didn’t wanna miss out on my pieces, and at the end of their visit , they didn’t just marked one painting with a red dot, they got 3 and ordered 1 commissioned piece 🥹 (red dots mean it’s sold 🔴). They will be taking home my 2 newest pieces at the end of June, “The Glowkeepers’ Watchtower” & “Moody Meadow”. I have no words 🥹

For my artist friends who are also selling their work, I hope the people who connect with your art and find it meaningful and memorable keep finding their way back to you 🩷

P.S. I miss the art festival crowd but I’m also loving the chill vibe of a gallery show, plus I can make art while the show is happening 👩🏻‍🎨🙌

“Let’s Stay Home”

There’s something about the familiar chaos of home, half-finished things, little messes & life happening everywhere. In these mundane moments, I’m reminded how full my life really is🥰

Maybe it has always been the little things💕

My first painting for March and the 10th piece of the year 🩷 I’m especially happy with this one. I was able to paint all the little details again & I finished it without pain in my right arm, which honestly feels like the biggest win💪

Happy March ✨

P.S. This might be the first time I’ve managed to sneak all four cats that have touched my life into one painting: Harper, Miss Lucy, Lucy Dai-Dai, and Sir Yoy. Not sure if you’ll be able to spot them all, but I promise they’re in there somewhere. 🤗🐾

Hi and thank you for being here!🤍

These are my wildflower paintings & the meaning they hold for me, why, over time, I've tallen more in love with painting them🥰

Against all odds, wildflowers grow much like hope. In heavy times when the world feels unkind, hope arrives quietly, doesn't announce itself. It rests softly in the shadows, in the quiet cracks, in places overlooked, in hearts that choose to remain tender. Small, delicate, and persistent, it reminds us that even now life quietly insists on blooming💐

May we all have a safe week ahead!🩷
