The Maryland Ensemble Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit professionally operated and artistically accredited arts organization that has enriched and entertained more than half a million people since 1993. Every year the MET produces thought-provoking theatre, fun family entertainment, theatre camps and classes, artist residency programs for public schools, and dozens of special events. Through our wi

de ranging work and prolific programming our reach expands to all demographics. Kids and teens enjoy our Fun Company productions, Fun Camps, In-School Productions, Ensemble School classes and community collaborations. Families return each year for our production of A Christmas Carol and Mainstage classics. While adults of all ages enroll in our Ensemble School, pack our Mainstage shows and take in our late night comedy shows. Last year alone the MET produced over 200 events.

Escape to the Forest of Arden with us this summer. 🌿

Filled with wit, romance, mistaken identities, and plenty of mischief, “As You Like It” is one of Shakespeare’s most joyful comedies—and it’s being brought to life by the talented student performers in MET’s Summer Community Outreach Production.

These productions give young artists the chance to collaborate, create, and perform for our community while gaining hands-on theatre experience along the way. Come support the next generation of storytellers and enjoy a classic that’s just as funny and heartfelt today as it was 400 years ago.

This season, we...

🦈 Laughed together.

🦃 Questioned together.

🌲 Slowed down together.

🔥 Wrestled with difficult truths together.

❤️ Found joy together.

Along the way, 4,758 patrons joined us for 82 performances across five productions, while 62 artists filled 88 production positions to bring these stories to life.

Theatre is more than what happens on stage. It’s the conversations that continue afterward, the connections we build, and the communities we strengthen together.

As our Year-End Campaign continues, we invite you to help us create even more moments like these. Visit the link in our bio to support MET and the work we do both onstage and beyond. https://ci.ovationtix.com/35900/store/donations/60370

This weekend, we say goodbye to “Every Brilliant Thing.”

Over the past few weeks, we’ve celebrated the little things that make life brighter—from favorite Frederick spots to simple moments of joy shared by this community. And if this show has reminded us of anything, it’s that Frederick has plenty of brilliant things.

Live theatre is one of them. ❤️

There’s still time to experience this funny, moving, deeply human production before it closes this Sunday:

✨ Shea-Mikal Green — Thursday, June 11 & Friday, June 12
✨ Nadia Palacios — Saturday, June 13
✨ Jeremy Myers — Sunday, June 14

Looking for the best availability? Friday night’s performance currently has the most seats left.

Come laugh, cry, and leave with a few more brilliant things on your own list. We’d love to share this final weekend with you.
