This weekend let’s go soar the skies with the Washington Parish Balloon Festival on the midway in the fairgrounds!

So much fun is awaiting all of us right here in our parish! So let’s show up and give our support to this amazing festival! 🩵🩷💜

The main stage has a new look to lighten up nights in Washington Parish.

With these new trim lights, we are able to keep the stage lit up in the evenings when the sun sets to allow efficient lighting for all visitors.

We also will update the color of the lights to correspond with any upcoming holidays or events!

⚠️ Please Be Aware ⚠️

It has been brought to our attention that multiple people have observed snakes in the fairgrounds. As the weather is getting warmer, snakes love to come out and soak up the sun just like us!

With the increase of snake activity, we would like everyone who visits the fairgrounds to be aware and vigilant of their surroundings.

In particular, the creek and the creek banks are a hotspot for snake activity. Please inform and educate your children if you are in the fairgrounds.

The stage committee has put in a lot of effort to revive the one of a kind tradition that we all know and love! And we are all here for it! 🎭

The stage committee is proud to announce we’re bringing back the Mystery Person for the 2026 fair! The clues will surely have you soaring the skies to figure out our mystery person this fall!

Yesterday at the April meeting, we were honored to present the awards we won at the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals.

The following awards were presented:

🏆 LAFF Poster Contest 3rd Place - Sadie Grace Fowler - Franklinton Primary School

🏆 LAFF Poster Contest 1st Place - Chad Alsobrooks - Pine Junior/High School

We would like to congratulate the poster winners and also thank all of the hard working volunteers that put in countless hours into making the fair what it is. We wouldn’t be what we are without all of our volunteers and their hard work never goes unnoticed! ❤️💛💚
