THE GALACTIC GET DOWN BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2020

We have had so many submissions for this year’s festival that we thought it’d be fun and exciting to throw our very first Battle of the Bands in 2020! Read below on how to apply - and for more details on the event!

PRIZE: a MAIN STAGE slot on Friday July 31st at The Galactic Get Down 2020

Final Battle - Live Performance
at The Cabooze
Thurs April 9th, 2020
Doors at 7:00pm
Music at 8:00pm
Winner announced at Midnight

Every band MUST be able to play the battle at Cabooze on Thu Apr 9th

Online voting begins on Monday March 2nd

This battle will consist of two parts - online and live performance.

ONLINE
- We will collect submissions from Feb 19 until March 8
- All bands that submit will be added to our online voting portal
- Your fans, friends, and family will be able to vote for your band online!
- The last day to vote is March 1st
- The top 4 bands will continue on to our LIVE competition

LIVE
- The top 4 bands voted online will perform live at The Cabooze on Thursday April 9
- The winner will be selected based on three judging criteria
- Judge Panel (3 judges)
- Fan Voting
- Final decision by the Galactic Get Down crew
- Each band selected will perform 45mins of original music
- BANDS MUST BE AVAILABLE APR 9 TO COMPETE
