2016 VAGABOND CAMPING SCHEDULE
To Prospective members:
Please let us know if you are attending a campout. We look forward to meeting & greeting you soon.
Please copy, save and print the schedule as I may not always have the capacity to send it to you.
Every year when I research to prepare our schedule, I try to find new, interesting and different places along with some repeat campgrounds. This year, I found that most places required a three night minimum during their peak season. Only 2 or 3 camps would block some sites for us and all the others require that you make a reservation ASAP and leave a deposit. So, I tried to work around that problem while still picking nice camps to stay at. The following campgrounds need to have a reservation called in as soon as you can if you want to be assured of a site.
Our campouts will usually take place on the second weekend of the month April to November on Friday & Saturday. However, you may go earlier or stay later if you like. Some campgrounds will block & hold some sites for us for a short time. In any case you should call and make your own reservations early and ask to be put with the Vagabonds if possible. Or, you may pick your own site if you care to as well. Please check their websites if available, for information and directions, etc. Some campgrounds suggest that not all GPS, Map Quest, Google Maps, etc. give correct directions for RV’s and it is always best to call for directions.
April 9th to 16th - We are calling this “Vagabonds on Vacation” as this is a little out of the ordinary weekend campout. Most folks have their reservations in place by now. We will be there from 4/9 to 4/16. We plan on taking some tours of the area. Ex: Harbor Cruise tour, city bus tour, mansion tour, naval museum, ride to see the ocean and dining out.
