In 2020 just before school was shut down for Covid Cardwell Metal Works (Franklin,KY) cut out the pieces for the latest project to roll out of the FSHS welding shop. We didn’t get to return to it until the spring of 2021 when the students managed to get it 95% completed before the end of school. We’ve spent the last week and a half finishing it up and finally got it installed today. We’ve named it “The Cutting Edge of Simpson County” and is the world’s largest butter knife. At 24’ it’s three times the size of the current Guinness record for a “table knife” as they are called overseas. The structure extends 6’ in the ground and is held in place by 4,000 pounds of concrete. It weighs around 1,000 pounds. It’s the 1st piece of many that will be installed in “The Blackjack Sculpture Park”……………

The fork and capsule are looking festive for the bicentennial cruise. The capsule will be located at the intersection of Sportsman Lake Rd and Salmons Blackjack RD until Monday the 6th of July.

We are getting excited for the Bicentennial Cruise next weekend. We will be posting the Google Map and print map option next Friday. Thank you to everyone that is participating, we can't wait to see what you come up with.

We’re happy to have all the visitors at the Fork in the Road but leaving your mark is unacceptable! We will be sanding it down and repainting it for the 4th of July Simpson county tour.
