There are times in our lives when we need a WIN. ⁣

Today, it may be a breakthrough for your child, your family, or your marriage. You may need a victory in an unemployment streak or simply in the daily, mundane tasks. ⁣

This would be a good time to remember God’s work and provision in the story of Jehoshaphat before battle in 2 Chronicles 20. 👉The word of the Lord instructed him to send worshipers and singers ahead of the troops, praising God [v. 21]⁣

If you know the story, you know what came next: the only battle that occurred that day was amongst the enemy. No weapon was raised against God’s people. ⁣

Over the years I have hugged thousands of little ones and heard some funny things:

• "Miss PattyCake—look! I lost a tooth!"
• "I have a boo-boo."
• "My brother was mean to me."
• "YOU LOOK JUST LIKE MY GRANDMA!"
(Really? Hat, gloves, costume? Or am I just that old?)

As a parent and teacher, I have effectively used music to teach about God's great big world, God's character, Bible stories, and educational fundamentals.

Music can easily create an atmosphere and language for giving God thanks and praise in an age-appropriate way.

To give children a Godly foundation while they are young and their brains are forming is crucial.

The school year is drawing to a close in most of the country. As you make your summer plans, I encourage you to make TALKING to your children about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible a part of them. This summer find any way you can to bring God into conversations. ⁣
⁣
It will get easy--organic--as you find simple ways to observe, then point your children to Him through creation, situations, and relationships. Pay attention to what goes on around you and ask God to help you see an opportunity to talk about spiritual things. ⁣
⁣
Be ready because they are ever-present. Teach them God’s Word daily. Choose one verse (or more) per week to learn and say aloud. ⁣
⁣
God’s words will make an eternal deposit!⁣
