To all of our Franklin Senior Center friends,

I wanted to let everyone know that, due to changes regarding our main office, I will no longer be able to post activities, updates, or information about what's happening at the center on this page. If you would like to continue seeing pictures, event updates, & the fun we have each day, please follow my personal page Abby Lynn. I will continue sharing photos & updates from our daily activities & upcoming events there.

If you are 60 years of age or older, I encourage you to come by & give us a try! We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You do not have to sign up, become a member, or make any commitments—just come in, meet new friends, & have some fun.

As Director, I have enjoyed using this page to share our activities & help bring new people into the center. I hope to continue connecting with you through my personal page. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message on my personal page. I will respond as soon as I can.

The creativity is flowing at the Franklin-Simpson Senior Center! 🎨🔔 This week Franklin Senior Center got started on creating beautiful wind chimes. I can’t wait to see the finished masterpieces & hear them singing in the breeze!

Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, culture, & the enduring spirit of those who came before us. As we honor this important day in American history, we encourage everyone to take time to reflect, learn, & celebrate.

📢 Reminder: The Franklin-Simpson Senior Center is CLOSED today, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

💜 Purple stands for more than a color—it stands for awareness, advocacy, and protection. Today, we wear purple to shine a light on Elder Abuse Awareness & to remind our seniors that they are valued, respected, & never forgotten.

Every older adult deserves to live with dignity, safety, & love. Together, let’s speak up, stand up, & help end abuse, neglect, & exploitation of our elderly community.

🍅🥒🍓 Community Help Needed! 🍓🥒🍅

As Director of the Franklin Senior Center, I’m looking for local farmers, gardeners, bakers, & vendors who may be willing to donate items for a special Farmers Market Day just for our seniors!

We’re seeking:
🍞 Homemade baked goods
🍅 Fresh garden vegetables
🍓 Fresh fruits
🥒 Homemade jams, jellies, & other farmers market favorites
🌽 Locally grown produce & handmade items

Our goal is to give our seniors the experience of “shopping” a farmers market at no cost to them while supporting smiles, fellowship, & a fun community event.

If you or someone you know would like to donate, please message me. Every loaf of bread, tomato, cucumber, & berry can help make a senior’s day a little brighter. ❤️
