The Williamson Choral Society was originally established in 2017 under the name Williamson County Community Chorus. It is an SATB ensemble of nearly 100 singers and is under the artistic direction of Karen Mabry Lewis.

Auditions for the Fall season will be held in the Senior Lounge at the WCPR Enrichment Center - 110 Everbright Ave, Franklin, TN 37064 – from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on the following days:

Tuesday, July 29
Wednesday, July 30
Monday, August 4
Tuesday, August 5

Everyone is encouraged to audition, but please note we are particularly looking for those who sing Soprano 1 or Bass 2.

Karen Lewis, WCCC's Artistic Director, will lead the auditions and asks that you come prepared to sing back some melodic patterns and scales to test aural abilities and range. She also asks you to prepare a simple piece to sing
acappella.

The first chorus rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Enrichment Center (EC). Weekly rehearsals (6:30-8-30) are typically at the EC with the exception of the 2nd Tuesday of the month when we rehearse at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church (435 Main St.) located at Five Points across from Starbucks in downtown Franklin.

The holiday concert will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Franklin First United Methodist Church.

It is the goal of the Williamson County Community Chorus to engage passions, inspire achievement, deepen connections, and broaden the community through choral music.

We are actively reaching out to businesses and individuals with an exciting opportunity to support our choir during the 2024-2025 season.

We are a self-sustaining group of almost 100 singers led by our artistic director Karen Lewis. We strive to provide quality music from many genres and bring in local musicians to accompany our seasonal concerts.

Next spring we'll be performing a new work by Dr. Jeffery Ames, Director of Choral Studies at Belmont University before many of us participate in the European Premiere of his Requiem of Colour in London.

The local concert will require a much larger venue and orchestra than usual, so donations and sponsorship of all sizes are much appreciated. Check out our brochure in the first comment.
