DOCUMENTARY SCREENING IN THE WILDCAT BALLROOM ON FRIDAY, MAY 29 AT 7 PM!
Join us for a screening of THE CHAPLAIN & THE DOCTOR and a Meet & Greet with the film team.
This past year, the film has completed an extensive film festival circuit, garnering awards and standing ovations across the country. The film was made by Jessica Zitter, a physician and filmmaker, about her transformational relationship with Chaplain Betty Clark, an 80-year-old African American chaplain. The film explores the importance of chaplaincy and spirituality in healthcare, the presence and harms of implicit bias, and the power of interprofessional collaborations. It is hilarious and poignant in a way that encourages honest exploration of challenging topics in healthcare.
There will be a pre-screening reception starting at 6pm. This includes light refreshments and a chance to meet Dr. Zitter and Chaplain Clark, the director and star of the film, as well as other members of the film team. The film screening will begin at 7pm.
Continuing education credits are available for physicians, social workers, nurses, and physician assistants.
