To our neighbors, the Flag drop in front of the VFW-2718 @ 68 Lincoln Rd Franklin Square, is out for repair. We hope to have it back soon. In the meanwhile, if you can hold worn flags at you home. We will post when the Drop box is returned. If you can't hold onto them another location is

American Legion #1033 @ 60 Hill Ave Elmont.

Another location is American Legion #1087 @ 233 Woodlawn Rd. West Hempstead.

Celebration of Life: Margaret "Marge" Worsley

Join us today, July 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at VFW Post 2718 Frank P. Curry Jr Post at 68 Lincoln Rd, Franklin Square, NY 11010 as we celebrate the remarkable life of Margaret "Marge" Worsley.

Marge was a lifetime supporter of the VFW and a dedicated member of the VFW Auxiliary for 53 years. Her warm heart, quiet strength, and unwavering spirit touched countless lives, especially through her crocheted blankets for veterans and newborns.

In her memory, we invite you to support the VFW Buddy Poppy program. Your donations help disabled and needy veterans, continuing Marge's legacy of care and dedication.

Donations can be made by putting cash in the donation box or by scanning the QR code.

We look forward to sharing memories and honoring Marge's incredible contributions to our community and our veterans.

These iconic flowers are carefully assembled by disabled, hospitalized, and needy veterans, providing them with both financial compensation and therapeutic rehabilitation. All proceeds generated from these distributions go directly toward supporting veterans' welfare, rehabilitation programs, and the VFW National Home for military families.
