Those of you who know me, know that I operate with a fairly low bar when it comes to maturity. I am still 17 or so inside. But Trump manages to duck under even my already low bar. I have done a lot of dumb things, I will do a lot of dumb things, I’ve done a lot of disgusting things, I will probably do more disgusting things, but I would never pretend to fellaciate a microphone stand in front of a huge crowd. Or in front of any crowd, for that matter. I’m certainly not fit to be president but even a total jerk like me is a better choice than Trump.

For the past 37 weeks or so I’ve been writing a weekly newsletter on audio engineering kinda stuff, but it has morphed into being more about music and culture rather than strictly making records.

The latest is about a total horror - worse than the upcoming election. Bowie’s Rebel Rebel has been turned into a country tune. It’s awful.

Au Café Lali à Griffintown.

Beautiful quiet café. Top-notch coffee. The Korean cookie amazing. Sweet and a tiny bit of spice on the end. You sit here looking at art and out onto Rue Notre-Dame, as the gray of winter creeps closer the warmth you find in the coffee, your toes cozy in your boots.

Beau café tranquille. Café de premier ordre. Le cookie coréen est incroyable. Doux et un tout petit peu d’épices à la fin. Vous êtes assis ici à regarder l’art et à sortir sur la rue Notre-Dame, alors que le gris de l’hiver se rapproche de la chaleur que vous trouvez dans le café, vos orteils confortables dans vos bottes.
